Artist's statement
My art is about finding beauty in the everyday. I’m inspired by the little things that might otherwise go unnoticed—like the way colors interact, the balance of shapes, and the feel of edges coming together. I work in a style that leans toward abstract impressionism, using bold complementary colors and quirky compositions to create something that feels alive and original.
Every piece starts with a simple idea—an image, a memory, or just a feeling—and evolves from there. I let the process guide me, making decisions as I go. Lately, I’ve been experimenting with glass mosaic work, and it’s brought a fresh perspective to my painting. Playing with texture and composition in a different medium has given me new ideas that feed back into my primary work.
For me, art isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating something that resonates, something that tells a story or invites curiosity. At the heart of it, I want people to see things a little differently—to notice the beauty in contrasts, edges, and the unexpected.
