Graffiti Roses
Graffiti Roses

Acrylic on stretched canvas, 24x48

This bold piece was inspired by my daughter’s bedroom wall, which used to have graffiti painted on it. This is an edgy and colorful portrayal of roses.

Calypso Caliente
Calypso Caliente

30x4o, acrylic on stretched canvas. Framed on black wood floater.

This piece is part of the Color Dance series. There are all about color, the interaction of color, and the energy it gives off. This red, purple and blue painting reads as hot, but is also very playful. Look for the blue worms.

Pond Polka Dot
Pond Polka Dot

This piece is part of the Color Dance series, and has the outlined dots and vibrating colors typical of these paintings. I started with a green background and the resulting color interactions made me think of pond life.

These bright, bold roses are part fine art and part illustration. They are fresh and modern and won’t go unnoticed.

Acrylic on stretched canvas, 30x40

This large paintjng has an intriguing name. It is created from a repetition of the sinus rhythm of your heart. The ups and downs, plus the strong oranges, make for a dramatically cheerful piece.

This wall of coral roses touches the sky. It’s another happy piece, with a hint of both Impressionism and abstraction.

20x20 acrylic on stretched canvas.

I spent a good bit of early 2023 painting roses. This was the second such piece. Of all my rose paintings, this one is my personal favorite. It is already framed in a black wood floater frame. Price includes frame.

The Store Is Now Open!

November 27, 2021

So, the day has finally come when I can say MY STORE IS OPEN! And because it’s the holidays and my launch, shipping within the continental U.S. is FREE!

It has been a long time coming…

When I started painting it was therapeutic and fun. I didn’t think about turning it into something more. But as I kept going, I felt the need to achieve. I put my whole self into it, I sought out excellent teachers and advisors, and I became better at what I did.

I have to credit Adriano Farinella, my current teacher/mentor, with pushing me to move beyond being a recreational artist, and beyond having an imaginary art career. It was scary at times to commit myself to it, on top of a full-time job, a family of 5 (3 of whom are teenagers), a lot of animals and a ten- acre property. But painting and living the artist life is what I love. It is where I feel like I am really who I was intended to be.

I also have to thank my dear friend Janet Folsom, who has seen almost all of my paintings evolve from blank canvas to completed art via text. We have enjoyed sharing this process as much as we enjoy most things we do together. Silliness ensues as much now as when we were childhood friends.

This past year I did not sell much, but I grew exponentially, leading me to today. I am ready to share my paintings with you, officially for sale. They are meant to be shared, enjoyed and loved. Displaying them on a website makes it easy for me. Although I still have a dream of having a solo show at a gallery someday!

There are many ways you can enjoy what you see here. You can simply look or comment. Or you can purchase a print or a sketch, which is at the least expensive end of the spectrum. You can also fulfill your dream of owning a larger piece of original art for a higher price. Everything is available either framed or unframed. And if you want something that you don’t see here, contact me and we can talk about how to make it happen. That includes commission work or prints of other pieces. It could also include other types of merchandise using the images I created. Or even a teaching opportunity.

Anyway, I offer you a warm welcome to my site and now my store. Please share with anyone you think would appreciate my art and my perspective. All are welcome here.
